Credit Card Search Engine
There are so many types of Credit Cards out there, it's amazing ! Are they all good ? Absolutely not. There are cards out there now that claim to be a legitimate credit card, like a Visa, Mastercard or American Express, but they are either just an imaginary card you can only use online (what good is that ?), or they are a card for a specific store (that likely charge high interest rates).
Do you have good credit or bad credit ?
For those with good credit, you have an excellent variety of Platinum, Gold or Regular cards to choose from. If you have poor credit, you may qualify for a Regular card, or at least a Prep-paid card. With a prepaid card, you have to make a deposit and then you draw from your balance remaining. It's not great, but if you need a card and can't get anything else, it's an option worth pursuing.
Doing without a card is not a great idea. As long as you don't run up the balance past your credit limit, of course. Everyone needs one these days to pay for gas, to pay for expensive items like TVs or furniture, to rent a car, and to buy Airline tickets if you travel. These are just some of the reasons you need one.
So, how do you know what card is tailor made for you ?
It depends on what features you value most.
Want a card that has a 0% introductory rate (for 3, 6 or more months) like the American Express Rewards Gold Card, or a card with a low yearly interest rate, like the new NYC Card from Emerican Express. Or, maybe you want one with no yearly fee, like the GM Mastercard, the Chase Cashbuilder Platinum Visa or Mastercard, or the Citibank Diamond Preferred Rewards Mastercard.
Whatever you need, a card is available. So, how do you find these cards that you can apply for ?
Fortunately, there is a Credit Card Search Engine where you can check out 120 credit cards of various types. When you visit, click on the "Sort by APR", "Sort by Fee", or other buttons on the right side of your screen. Have fun, I know I did !
